What is TDS?
TDS means tax deducted at source.
According to income tax rules, a person/organization that is liable to make a payment of specified nature to any other person shall deduct tax at source and remit the amount into the account of the Central Government. A TDS certificate is issued by the person/organization that deducts the tax at source.
What is the Tax Summary section?
The Tax Summary section provides a breakdown of your financial activity on our platform for a selected financial year.
What information is included in the Tax Summary?
The Tax Summary includes the following details:
  • Deposits: The total amount you successfully deposited into your account during the financial year.
  • Withdrawals: The total amount you successfully withdrew from your account during the financial year.
  • Opening Balance: The aggregate of deposit and withdrawal balances in your account at the beginning of the financial year (April 1st).
  • Closing Balance: The aggregate of deposit and withdrawal balances in your account at the end of the financial year (March 31st) after year-end TDS settlement. This forms the opening balance for next financial year.
  • Net Winnings: Your taxable income calculated as (Withdrawals - Deposits - Opening Balance + Closing Balance).
  • Tax Paid (TDS): The total Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) during the financial year.
How are the Tax Summary fields being calculated?
The Tax Summary reflects your combined financial activity across all games operated by JGIPL where your PAN is registered. This is because, for income tax purposes, your earnings are aggregated across all platforms associated with your PAN.
What are the applicable TDS rates?
TDS is deducted at the rate of 30% from net winnings.
For what period is the Tax Summary available?
The Tax Summary is available for the current and previous financial year.
I have already provided my Aadhaar. Why is PAN needed?
PAN is needed to issue a TDS certificate, which can be used for filing ITR and claiming a refund (if any).
What if I don’t have a PAN?
You will be unable to withdraw money if your PAN is not linked to your Junglee Poker account.
What will happen to the excess tax paid?
You can claim back any excess TDS paid by filing an ITR return. Junglee Games shall provide you with TDS certificates within 45 days of the quarter’s end for the purpose of tax filing.
Will I get a refund from Junglee Games?
No. Any excess tax paid shall be refunded to the player by the Government of India after the player files an ITR. Junglee Games has no legal authority to refund any TDS paid.
